The Indoor Stadium Vaccination Centre no longer accepts walk-ins for COVID-19 first dose inoculations on Fridays, commencing 1 October, announced the minister of health.
The service will only be provided via appointments made by either phone call, SMS or WhatsApp, catering to citizens and permanent residents of Brunei who are not able to book their first dose via the BruHealth app.
Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Dr Hj Mohd Isham Hj Jaafar in a press conference said that the booking slots for Friday are opened today, 29 September from 6pm until 11pm.
“The slots opening will continue on 30 September from 8am until they are filled. For the public’s information, a total of 2,000 slots are available for Friday,” he said.
Moreover, the health ministry has allocated Sundays as additional vaccination hours at the Indoor Stadium especially for both local and foreign employees working in various companies.
The initiative is a joint effort between the ministry, National Coordination Centre for COVID-19, Ministry of Finance and Economy and Department of Labour.
“Vaccination schedule of employees will be made through the management of respective companies who will be contacted by either the command centre or labour. Those who have not been reached out yet are advised to wait and not come to the Indoor Stadium,” added the minister.
For registration, prospective recipients must provide their full name, identification card number, BruHIMs number (if any) and a reachable contact number.
