The Bruneian team had a chance to test out the full performance and capability of the Jaguar F-Pace SVR.
On the road from the Indera Motors Showroom in Beribi, Gadong to the Dadap road, the SVR demonstrated immense poise and prowess.
Moreover, when it comes to performance, the SVR seems to be in a league of its own.
The F-Pace SVR delivers raw, visceral power from its 5.0-litre, V8 supercharged petrol engine with 0-100km/h acceleration in 4.3 seconds.
There was ample torque at the ready, and acceleration was smooth and constant
When we tested out the engine on the highway it was just as seamless and refined as ever even when it began roaring when we increased our speed.
The SVR remains confident and full of grip, at higher speeds and no matter how aggressive you drive, the SUV offers a really smooth and quiet ride.
Comfort was our mode of choice for driving around the city as it lightened the steering wheel’s resistance and softened the suspension, giving the drive extra cushion during rush hour.
Further into our drive, the 5-seater has a great cornering grip and balance, encouraging us to do more rolls along the curvy Dadap road. The steering is precise and gives the kind of feedback you want from a premium SUV.
Moreover, the cabin was also exceptionally quiet and tranquil with the muted road, wind, and traffic noise.
No matter where you sit, the 5-seater boasts cushioned comfort and premium sports mesh materials for both driver and passenger.
Not only that, the SVR comes with hip-hugging performance seats up front, which help to hold it in place when you send the SVR through tight corners
Overall, a comfortable ride, all around, even driving on the back roads of the Dadap Recreational Park where the roads were more curved and rocky.
Other than its powerful performance, the F-Pace SVR just feels good to drive, its handling and agility are a true match for its luxury performance.
Overall, combining refined good looks, power and dynamic driving the Jaguar F-Pace SVR is the perfect crossover SUV for those looking for luxury performance yet practicality.
