Progresif has revealed its new cashless payment feature dubbed Ding!
Integrated within the Progresif Care+ app, the digital payment solution serves as an avenue to enhance financial inclusion and empower Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) as well as individual consumers in Brunei.
Awarded as the best payment initiative by Asia Communication Awards, Ding! offers a seamless and secure payment solution that enables users to perform digital transactions without the need for a traditional bank account.


In her opening remarks, Progresif CEO Hajah Nurul Haniah Haji Jaafar said that the product launch is paralleled with the Digital Economy Masterplan Vision of achieving a ‘Smart Nation through Digital Transformation’, a commitment to create a forward-thinking digital society empowered by cutting-edge technology.
“In Progresif, our vision is to deliver connectivity and innovative services to drive an inclusive Bruneian digital economy and beyond,” she said.
She further said that the company’s initiative with Ding! embodies this vision with the belief that it will significantly contribute to the growth by fostering a culture of cashless transactions through diverse and dynamic multimedia platforms with convenience.

“We also aim to align with the National Digital Payment Hub when it launches, serving as a platform to generate growth in cashless transactions and create a conducive business ecosystem in Brunei, as announced by His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam in his recent titah,” continued the ceo.
“By embracing this vision and such innovations, we aim to not only simplify financial transactions but also inspire a brighter, more inclusive future for all Progresif’s goal is to empower individuals with tools and visibility to track their finances and get an overview of their spending through simple and easy-to-understand visuals. This initiative aligns with Progresif’s commitment to enhance convenience and promote financial and digital literacy across Brunei,” said Hjh Nurul Haniah.

Ding! aims to bridge the gap by providing accessible and secure financial tools for all customers and partners, regardless of their economic background.
Committed to extending financial services to the unbanked and underbanked populations, Ding! offers a seamless and user-friendly digital payment solution.
With the new feature, users can top up their e-wallets with prepaid credit or by charging to their postpaid bill, supports instant scan-and-pay transactions via a global QR standard, and ensures ease of use for all, including those new to digital payments.

For merchants, Ding! offers a comprehensive dashboard that consolidates all business data in one place.
This feature enables merchants to keep track of their sales activities and payment transactions efficiently. The app also supports multi-user roles, allowing businesses to identify and monitor different performance metrics.
With Ding!, merchants gain clear insights into their net revenue and overall business performance, enhancing their ability to make informed decisions.

On his part, Vice President of Innovation at Progresif, Mohammad Haziq Haji Mohd Sahrip said that the merchant app is designed to simplify, streamline, and elevate MSME operations.

Furthermore, a roadshow on Ding! is happening from now until 28 July 2024 at OneCity Shopping Centre, featuring a pop-up market with selected Ding! merchants.

The market is open to the public and will include a lucky draw, offering one entry for every $5 spent with Ding! Five lucky winners will each receive $100 cash in their Ding Wallet.
The roadshow provides an excellent opportunity for attendees to experience Ding! firsthand, learn how to activate and add money to their wallets through the Progresif Care+ app, and enjoy the convenience of digital payments.
Moreover, the pop-up market features a diverse range of vendors, showcasing the ease and versatility of using ding! for everyday transactions.

In celebration of the launch, Progresif is also awarding the first 1000 Ding! wallet activations with free $5 cash into their Ding! wallet. On top of that, a lucky draw campaign running until the end of September will see 16 lucky winners win various prizes including $100 Ding! cash and the grand prize of the latest iPhone.
