Some 20 underprivileged families in Brunei-Muara, Temburong, Tutong and Belait districts received necessities and household items from the 17th Jalinan Kasih project.
Families of orphans, senior citizens and individuals with different abilities were among the recipients of the charitable drive.

Radisson Hotel Brunei as one of the participating organisations shared that it was their sixth time with project hosted by Radio Televisyen Brunei (RTB).
Jalinan Kasih project is among the hotel’s corporate social responsibility (CSR) in giving back to the community.

Radisson Hotel through the annual charitable project continued to support the community by donating basic food necessities consisting of rice, cooking oil, instant noodles, canned food and more.
The project is also a collaboration between Bank Islam Brunei Darussalam (BIBD), TGT Sdn Bhd, Sim Kim Huat Trading Co, and McDonald’s Brunei (Makan Ceria).
The participating team visited the Tutong and Belait districts, followed by Brunei Muara and Temburong on 26 February to hand over necessities and cash aid to the underprivileged families.

The initiative is among RTB’s CSR in supporting the government’s aspiration of creating a community that looks out for the welfare of the less fortunate nationwide.
Established in 2009, Jalinan Kasih lends a focus to the RTB’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) efforts and programmes to encourage acts of kindness and active volunteerism through its charity and sungkai event with underprivileged children.

As for future plans, RTB aspires to expand its Jalinan Kasih project with other sponsors and to help as many communities in need as they can.
