Brunei Shell Marketing Co. Sdn. Bhd (BSM) recently hosted an iftar event with orphans at Serambi Batil Hall, Tarindak d’Seni.
The event was part of BSM’s Ramadhan Social Investment initiatives, embodied the holy month’s spirit of self-reflection, compassion, and generosity—values that align with BSM’s CSR commitment to strengthening community ties
In line with Islamic teachings that emphasise caring for orphans and those in need, BSM remains dedicated to supporting initiatives that promote unity, kindness, and social well-being.

The event began with a recital of Surah Al-Fatihah by BSM Retail Executive, Norasman Suleiman.
This was followed by the presentation of donations, contributed by BSM staff and handed over by BSM Managing Director, Captain Mohammed Alexirwan bin Haji Omar, to 100 orphans registered under the Community Development Department (JAPEM).

Also in attendance was BSM HR and Corporate Affairs Manager Norleha binti Delli.
Before the iftar event, Hj Mohd Loqman Al Hakim bin Hj Hamdan from Al-Huffaz Management delivered a talk titled “Menyemai Kasih, Menuai Berkat.”
He emphasised the power of compassion and giving, showing how small acts of kindness can create a lasting impact. The talk also highlighted the blessings (barakah) of supporting those in need, aligning with Islamic values and corporate social responsibility.


BSM hopes that the donations will provide meaningful support to the recipients with their families and bring them joy during the holy month.
By sharing a meal and engaging in meaningful conversations, BSM aspires to create cherished moments that reflect the spirit of Ramadhan and the values of kindness and generosity.

Through social investment programmes such as this, BSM remains committed to working closely with its stakeholders in contributing to community development and moving forward together with the nation.
