The much-anticipated Sahur Saturday returned for its ninth edition last weekend at its new venue—the basement parking of Annajat Complex.
Organised by Big BWN Project, the vibrant initiative continues to foster community spirit, empower local businesses and champion sustainability, with a renewed focus on digital transformation through its partnership with Progresif Ding!.
A staple of the Ramadhan calendar, Sahur Saturday promises an exciting late-night experience, blending food, coffee, and interactive elements that bring people together in celebration. Taking place every Saturday night during Ramadan, the next events are set for 15 and 22 March 2025, from 10pm to 2am, featuring a dynamic lineup of around 20 vendors each week.

With vendors joining for just one night, attendees can look forward to a fresh and diverse selection of sahur delights, ensuring a unique experience on every visit.
This year, Sahur Saturday is taking a step forward with Progresif Ding! as its official digital payment partner. Ding! makes transactions seamless and accessible for everyone.
With a Progresif line, users can pay for their purchases using unused mobile credit or charge it directly to their Progresif bill via the Care+ app. This innovative feature ensures that even those without traditional banking access can enjoy a hassle-free, cashless shopping experience.
Enhancing the cashless experience, attendees who pay with Ding! stand a chance to win an iPhone 16 Pro or a BND 300 Ding! Cash Prize through the Pay Ding! Win campaign. This initiative encourages digital transactions while reinforcing Ding!’s commitment to financial inclusivity and supporting Brunei’s growing small business ecosystem.

“Sahur Saturday is more than just a marketplace—it is a celebration of community, innovation, and progress. By integrating Progresif Ding! as the preferred digital payment method, we’re making transactions effortless while empowering MSMEs to thrive in a cashless economy. With Ding!, you don’t need cash—just your Progresif line and the Care+ app to enjoy the full Sahur Saturday experience,” said Progresif CEO Hajah Nurul Haniah Haji Jaafar.
Sustainability remains a key pillar of Sahur Saturday, with visitors encouraged to bring their reusable containers, cups, and utensils to reduce plastic waste.
The event also collaborates with Tebalik Plastik, SWR Brunei, and Biofield Brunei to promote responsible waste disposal, including recycling plastic bottle caps, used cooking oil, and food waste, underscoring the community’s role in protecting the environment.

With its blend of culture, commerce, and community engagement, Sahur Saturday continues to be a highlight of Ramadan, offering an unforgettable experience for visitors and businesses alike. Sahur Saturday will be back on 15th and 22nd March 2025 at the Annajat Complex Basement Parking.
On hand to open the event was Permanent Secretary (Municipal and District) at Ministry of Home Affairs Abdul Walid Haji Matassan.
