AITI recognises employees’ learning milestones

The Authority for Info-communications Technology Industry of Brunei Darussalam (AITI) awarded certificates to its employees for completing the Online Learning Platform (OLP) initiative, a professional development programme launched in 2024.

The ceremony began with opening remarks by Managing Director of Mindtrex Academy Sdn Bhd Pengiran Khairi Pengiran Metussin and their Singaporean digital training partner, Director of ASCENSUS Institute Khiryati Kairi.

Both speakers emphasised the transformative power of digital learning and praised the dedication and overall progress of AITI participants. They also highlighted that AITI employees demonstrated exemplary performance compared to regional learners.

The highlight of the event was the presentation of a Certificate of Completion to 27 employees who have completed their respective professional learning tracks in key professional areas such as Human Resources, Finance, Sales & Marketing, Data Analytics, and IT Operations.

In recognition of exceptional performance, the top five best students were also honoured for their commitment, consistency, and outstanding achievements.

After the certificate presentation, Haji Ardifeyendi Haji Awang, who was named Overall Best Student, took the stage to share his reflections on the OLP journey.

Reflecting on his learning journey, he spoke about the value of self-directed learning, the importance of discipline in balancing work and study, and the encouragement received from supervisors and colleagues.

He encouraged colleagues to keep challenging themselves and to join future learning opportunities, underscoring how the OLP initiative has equipped employees with skills that directly benefit both their careers and AITI’s broader mission.

Launched as a pilot in early 2024, the OLP initiative provides access to internationally recognised, industry-certified courses through leading platforms. Currently, the initiative leverages Skillsoft, an online learning solutions provider known for its interactive, AI-driven learning experiences.

The programme is delivered in partnership with ASCENSUS Institute, a member of the Lifelong Learning Academy, Singapore.

Through the OLP initiative, AITI aims to promote a culture of continuous learning and invest in modern and accessible learning platforms that empower employees to thrive in a dynamic digital environment. The success of the pilot reflects AITI’s forward-thinking approach and commitment to professional development and its vision for building a future-ready workforce.

In attendance was Chief Executive of AITI Haji Jailani Haji Buntar.
