Bank Islam Brunei Darussalam (BIBD) recently hosted a Hari Raya Gathering in celebration of the trust and support of its stakeholders at the Empire Brunei Hotel.
Over 4,000 guests made their way into the Grand Samudra Hall of the Empire Brunei, which was adorned with beautiful bright lights and decorative installations featuring a crescent moon and star centrepiece.
Held in conjunction with the Hari Raya Aidilfitri celebrations, the event served as a meaningful opportunity to reconnect and express gratitude to BIBD’s valued stakeholders, including senior government officials, diplomatic representatives, loyal customers, and business partners from across different sectors.


Among the distinguished guests were members of the royal family, ministers, deputy ministers, permanent secretaries, ambassadors, high commissioners, and senior representatives from both the public and private sectors were also in attendance.
The event also welcomed leaders of major corporations as well as local entrepreneurs and small business owners, reflecting BIBD’s ongoing commitment to supporting businesses of all sizes and being a partner in their growth journeys.

Hosting the Gema Syawal event was BIBD Managing Director and CEO Awang Junaidi bin Haji Masri, who attended to the invited guests.
Donning BIBD’s corporate colour purple, attending to the guests were BIBD’s senior management team, as well as staff and personnel of the bank.


The celebration was also attended by members of BIBD’s Board of Directors and the Shariah Advisory Body.
Gema Syawal is also a reflection of BIBD’s values of community, inclusivity, and shared progress, aligned with its commitment in connecting meaningfully with the community it serves

The event was aimed at strengthening the bank’s relationships with those who have greatly contributed to the growth and success of BIBD, Brunei Darussalam and its economy.
