BMC celebrates Hari Raya with stakeholders, orphans in festive gathering

Brunei Methanol Company Sdn Bhd hosted a Hari Raya celebration with its stakeholders, business partners and employees at the Royal Berkshire Hall, Royal Brunei Jerudong Polo and Riding Club recently.

Themed, “Riang Ria Aidilfitri”, the event was led by BMC Chief Executive Officer, Jesús Enrique Mora Marín, alongside members of the Executive Management and Head of Departments.

Among the distinguished guests in attendance were Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office and Second Minister of Finance and Economy Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Dr Haji Amin Liew Abdullah and Deputy Minister of Finance and Economy and Deputy Chairman of Brunei Methanol Company Dato Seri Paduka Haji Khairuddin Haji Abdul Hamid, as well as representatives from various government authorities and business partners.

The event came alive with cultural performances and an appearance by local talent Ezah Hashim, celebrating the richness of Brunei’s heritage and the festive spirit of Hari Raya.

As part of the festivities, Mora, together with members of the Executive Management, extended a heartfelt gesture by presenting tokens of support to 29 orphans from Kampung Sungai Liang and Lumut. This meaningful act brought smiles to the children and reflected BMC’s ongoing commitment to community care, which is in line with its #RESPECT CSR strategy.

Hari Raya is a time for reflection, gratitude and generosity and the theme “Riang Ria Aidilfitri” embodies these values. The celebration highlighted BMC’s dedication to building meaningful relationships and fostering an inclusive, connected community. More than just a festive occasion, it reaffirmed BMC’s role as a responsible corporate citizen in the community it serves.
