The awards aim to celebrate outstanding Bruneian enterprises that demonstrate strong performance, creativity, and resilience in their respective industries.

Organised annually by Darussalam Enterprise (DARe) and the Brunei Economic Development Board (BEDB), the PBBA serves as a national platform to honour Brunei’s most impactful and promising businesses.
Open to enterprises across a range of sectors, the awards encourage widespread participation, fostering a culture of excellence, innovation, and entrepreneurship in the country.

Participating businesses benefit from enhanced visibility, credibility, and public recognition. Winners and finalists gain valuable exposure, strengthen trust among customers and investors, and build connections with key stakeholders.
Beyond recognition, the awards serve as a motivating benchmark, inspiring continuous growth and improvement across Brunei’s business landscape.

In his welcoming remarks, Acting Chief Executive Officer of BEDB Daniel Leong said the PBBA is a platform to inspire and empower local businesses to lead with purpose, resilience, and innovation.
“As we move forward, the PBBA will continue to evolve—not only as a platform for recognition, but also as a catalyst for growth, knowledge sharing, and strategic partnerships” he shared.

“Our vision is for the Proudly Brunei Business Awards to be a symbol of what Bruneian businesses can achieve when excellence is pursued with purpose,” he added.

The event was graced by the Guest of Honour, Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Dr Awang Haji Mohd Amin Liew bin Abdullah, Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office and Minister of Finance and Economy II, and Chairman of the Brunei Economic Development Board.
