Maju Motors, the sole distributor of BYD (Build Your Dreams) in Brunei, recently unveiled the highly anticipated BYD Sealion 7 at The Mall, Gadong.
The BYD Sealion 7 is an all-wheel drive (AWD) electric SUV, captivating the crowd with its aerodynamic design, luxurious and spacious interior, cutting-edge technology, and impressive performance capabilities.
The official unveiling was officiated by Economic and Commercial Counselor at the Chinese Embassy in Brunei Darussalam Shi Rongke, Maju Motors Executive Director Stanley Lim, Maju Motors Managing Director Chan Key Hong and Abdul Razak Holdings Director Haji Awang Suhaimei Haji Awang Besar.
As part of the launch celebration, the event also marked the first grand delivery of 12 units of the BYD Sealion 7 to customers.
In his speech at the launch, Managing Director of Maju Motors Chan Key Hong said that BYD is now the global leader in new energy vehicle sales, having secured its dominance in 2024 and well on track for continued success into 2025.
“We are proud to announce that BYD has become the number one new energy vehicle brand in Brunei, an achievement that will be hard to surpass, given our strong performance over the past five months,” he said.
He also shared that the company has announced plans to introduce additional models in the near future, including the Shark 6 DMO plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV), along with several other models from the Seal, Sealion, Atto, Bao and Denza lineups .
