His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam and Her Majesty Duli Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Hajah Saleha have arrived in Bandar Seri Begawan on Tuesday.
The monarch departed Kuala Lumpur on Tuesday afternoon following his admission to the National Heart Institute last week due to fatigue, where he continued his rest for several days in Malaysia.
His Majesty was in Kuala Lumpur for the 46th ASEAN Summit and Related Summit held from 26 to 27 May.
Present at the Grand Hyatt Hotel to bid farewell to His Majesty and Her Majesty Duli Raja Isteri were Yang Amat Berhormat Dato’ Seri Anwar bin Ibrahim, Prime Minister of Malaysia and spouse, Dato’ Seri Dr. Wan Azizah Wan Ismail.
Prior to departure, Doa Selamat was recited by Yang Berhormat Pehin Datu Seri Maharaja Dato Paduka Seri Setia (Dr.) Ustaz Haji Awang Abdul Aziz bin Juned, the State Mufti.
Present at the Subang Air Base to bid farewell to His Majesty and Her Majesty Duli Raja Isteri was His Highness Tunku Idris Ismail Abdul Rahman Alhaj ibni Sultan Ibrahim, Tunku Temenggong of Johor.
Also present were Yang Berhormat Datuk Fahmi Fadzil, Minister of Communication, Malaysia; Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Dr. Awang Haji Mohd. Amin Liew bin Abdullah, Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office and Second Minister of Finance and Economy; Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Erywan bin Pehin Datu Pekerma Jaya Haji Mohd. Yusof, Second Minister of Foreign Affairs; Yang Mulia Dato Seri Paduka Awang Mohammed Riza bin Dato Paduka Haji Mohammed Yunos, Deputy Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office; and His Excellency Brigadier General (Rtd) Dato Paduka Haji Mahmud bin Haji Saidin, High Commissioner of Brunei Darussalam to Malaysia and spouse; as well as personnel from the Brunei Darussalam High Commission in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
Upon arrival at His Majesty the Sultan’s Flight Hangar in Rimba, His Majesty and Her Majesty Duli Raja Isteri were welcomed by members of the Royal Family.
Also present were Yang Amat Mulia Pengiran-Pengiran Cheteria; the Speaker of the Legislative Council; Cabinet Ministers; Members of the Privy Council; Deputy Ministers; the Commander of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces; Acting Commissioner of Police of the Royal Brunei Police Force, and respective spouses.
Doa was recited by Yang Berhormat Pehin Orang Kaya Paduka Seri Utama Dato Paduka Seri Setia Haji Awang Salim bin Haji Besar.
