BIBD recognised for contribution to cashless growth at Mastercard Customer Forum 2025

BIBD received recognition from Mastercard at the 2025 Customer Forum in Bangkok for Leadership in Debit Volume – Brunei and Leadership in Credit Volume – Brunei, acknowledging the Bank’s role in supporting the adoption of digital payments in the country.

The recognition reflects BIBD’s ongoing efforts to provide practical and accessible card solutions that serve the needs of both individuals and businesses. BIBD’s initiatives focus on enhancing everyday banking experiences, encouraging digital payment adoption, and offering added value benefits such as merchant offers and seamless payment experiences.

Attending the event on behalf of BIBD was Junaidi bin Bahrum, Assistant Managing Director 3 and Head of Retail Banking, who shared that BIBD is grateful for the recognition, which BIBD sees as an encouragement to continue making everyday payments easier and more secure for our community. He added that such progress is only possible through the trust of BIBD’s customers and the support of its merchant partners.
