The Cahaya Project, an initiative by Shah Indra, hosted its first mental health talk in collaboration with Kare Medical Clinic and Clarity Sdn Bhd in a bid to address emotional well-being among men.
Hosted at the Shah Indra Showroom in Kiarong, the one-day event drew 30 participants for its discussion on men’s mental health, titled ‘The Weight We Carry’.
The session explored themes of suppressed pressure, silent expectations and the often-invisible mental load carried by high-functioning men.

Participants engaged in open, thoughtful discussions guided by expert facilitatorson identifying burnout, managing anxiety and seeking help without shame.
In his remarks, the founder of Shah Indra and the brain behind The Cahaya Project, Pg Azlan Shah, said that their goal is simple – to unpack the silent pressure, emotional fatigue and hidden expectations that many men carry alone.
For his part, Clinical Director of Kare Medical Clinic Dr Munir Metassan, said that the event showed that the need to create safe spaces for men to talk is real.

“… and so is the need to build a platform where those seeking mental health support can connect with providers. The time is now,” he said.
The talk was also live-streamed on Instagram and TikTok to cater to those who were not able to attend in person and reach a wider audience beyond the venue.
The event marked the first in a series of conversations under The Cahaya Project aimed at fostering meaningful impact in mental health, social upliftment, community healing and cultural education.
