Royal Brunei Airlines presented a donation of 12 wheelchairs recently, comprising 10 bariatric (heavy duty) wheelchairs and two travel wheelchairs, for the benefit of passengers in need at Brunei International Airport.
The wheelchairs were funded through proceeds from the RB Waqaf Drive, an internal donation campaign held in October last year, reflecting the spirit of giving and sustainable charity that is deeply rooted in RB’s culture.
The contribution reflects RB’s continuous support towards enhancing accessibility and comfort for all airport users, aligning with the nation’s aspiration of providing inclusive facilities and services.
Present at the handover ceremony was Chief Executive Officer of RB Captain Sabirin Haji Abdul Hamid, who highlighted the airline’s commitment to community care and service excellence.
“This initiative is part of Royal Brunei Airlines’ ongoing efforts to ensure our guests at Brunei International Airport feel welcomed and comfortable whenever they are at the airport . We are honoured to contribute towards improving the quality of life for individuals who may require mobility assistance. The Waqaf, offered sincerely from the heart, is not only an investment in facilities but also a heartfelt reflection of our shared commitment to service and responsibility towards the community,” said Captain Sabirin Haji Abdul Hamid.
Royal Brunei Airlines remains committed to supporting initiatives that bring positive impact to the community, in keeping with the company’s values of service, sincerity, and shared responsibility.
