Now in its 19th edition, the jazz festival is organised by the Miri City Council and supported by the Ministry of Tourism, Creative Industry and Performing Arts Sarawak, with musical content curated by Miri Events & Decor Specialist.

Attendees can enjoy an eclectic mix of jazz, reggae, and pop at the festival, which will be hosted by two emcees: Kim Goodburn (Mister International 2023) and Melisha Lin (Miss Grand International 2024 fifth runner-up).

At a press conference held at the Sarawak Trade and Tourism Office in Brunei (STATOB), the Mayor of Miri City, Adam Yii, stated that BJF has grown into one of the region’s most anticipated music festivals.

He added that it is more than just a showcase of world-class performances; it is a celebration of friendship, culture, and community.

“Each year, the festival provides a unique platform where international artists, local talents, and audiences from across the globe come together to enjoy music and connect,” said Yii.

The mayor also emphasised that beyond music, the festival embraces sustainability and inclusivity.

“Visitors can look forward to fringe events such as youth workshops, eco-friendly campaigns, creative art showcases, and local food bazaars,” he said. He added that these activities not only enrich the festival experience but also support local communities and promote Sarawak’s diverse culture.

There is good news for jazz music lovers from Brunei – the event organiser is offering a special 20 per cent discount for purchases made from now until 6 October 2025.
