The 13th Borneo LNG Conference & Games drew to a fruitful close in Brunei, its finale marked by a handover to Malaysia LNG as the next host following its overall sporting victory.Â
The three-day event, which has served as a cornerstone of the regional LNG industry since 2007, concluded with a prestigious farewell dinner at Indera Kayangan Hall, The Empire Brunei.
Hosted by Brunei LNG, the event brought together delegates, technical experts and senior representatives from the three key players – Brunei LNG, Malaysia LNG and Badak LNG.

The gala dinner served as a celebration of both sporting and professional excellence. The evening was enlivened by vibrant cultural performances, showcasing local artistic talent.
A key segment honoured the athletic achievements of the participants, with the presentation of a trophy and medals to the winning teams and individuals from the Borneo LNG Games.

As a gesture of gratitude, conference speakers and session moderators were recognised with formal tokens of appreciation for their role in facilitating the week’s knowledge exchange. The deep-seated spirit of partnership was further exemplified by a symbolic exchange of commemorative gifts between the three organisations.
In an interview, Malaysia LNG’s turnaround executive for Electrical and Instrument stated she enjoyed her time in Brunei, adding that her team’s badminton victory was a memorable achievement.
“This is my third time joining the event and it feels great to be able to meet Brunei LNG once again, further strengthening our friendship. I want to congratulate Brunei for securing second runner-up and everyone’s great sportsmanship,” said Jacqueline Kong Pei Kie.Â

The highlight of the evening was the formal handover ceremony from Brunei LNG to Malaysia LNG, officially entrusting them with the responsibility for the 2027 edition.
By fostering days of collaboration, knowledge sharing and friendly competition, the 2025 Borneo LNG Conference & Games successfully reinforced the shared commitment of its members to drive the industry forward through a focus on innovation and sustainable practices.
