Maju Motors, the sole distributor of BYD (Build Your Dreams) in Brunei officially launched the all-new BYD Seal 5 Premium during an exclusive event at the Songket Ballroom, Rizqun International Hotel
The sleek hybrid sedan immediately stole the spotlight, impressing attendees with its aerodynamic design, refined interior, advanced smart features, and exceptional long-range performance.
The launch marked another important milestone for BYD’s growing presence in Brunei, reinforcing the brand’s commitment to delivering intelligent, efficient and future ready mobility solutions.
The event was officially launched by the guest of honour, Pg Dato Paduka Hj Yunus Pg Haji Mahmud, Director of Maju Motors Sdn Bhd, together with Managing Director Chan Key Hong, Executive Director Stanley Lim, Marketing Manager Jerrell Chan and Haji Mohamad Rayme, General Manager of Baiduri Finance.
In his speech, Managing Director of Maju Motors Chan Key Hong highlighted BYD’s strong global momentum, noting that the brand continues to lead the world in new energy vehicle sales.
He added that more models from the Seal, Sealion, Atto, Bao and Denza lineups will be introduced soon, expanding choices for Bruneian customers.

The BYD Seal 5 Premium represents the latest advancement in BYD’s DM-i Super Hybrid technology, achieving the ideal balance between performance and efficiency. With a combined range of 1,100 km on petrol and 120 km on pure electric power, it stands as the longest-range sedan in Brunei, perfect for both city commutes and long-distance drives.
Under the hood, the Seal 5 is powered by a 1.5L high-efficiency Xiaoyun hybrid engine paired with an electric motor, producing 194 horsepower and 325 Nm of torque.
