BYD Brunei has unveiled its advanced DiSus Intelligent Suspension Technology in Brunei, marking a significant step forward in driving comfort, control, and safety.
The cutting-edge system was introduced during a BYD technology showcase held in conjunction with the WorldSkills Brunei National Competition at Bridex, Jerudong.
The event provided a valuable platform for students from colleges and secondary schools under the Department of Schools, Ministry of Education, to gain deeper insights and first-hand knowledge of advanced automotive technologies shaping the future of mobility.
Short for BYD Intelligent Suspension System, DiSus is engineered to elevate the driving experience by continuously monitoring road conditions, vehicle dynamics, and driver behaviour.
Through real-time adjustments, the system enables the vehicle to adapt seamlessly to a wide range of driving scenarios, ensuring optimal performance at all times.
In everyday driving conditions, DiSus enhances comfort by softening the suspension when travelling over rough or uneven roads. During cornering, braking, and higher-speed driving, the system automatically firms up the suspension to improve stability and control.
In sudden manoeuvres or emergencies, DiSus helps minimise body roll and maintain vehicle balance, contributing to greater safety and driver confidence.
What sets DiSus apart is its deep integration with BYD’s in-house technologies, including electric motors, braking systems, and vehicle control units. The holistic approach allows all components to operate in unison as a single intelligent system, delivering a more refined, responsive, and confidence-inspiring driving experience.

Visitors attending the showcase were able to learn more about DiSus and its real-world benefits through on-site demonstrations and explanations by BYD product specialists.
The first vehicle in Brunei set to feature DiSus will be an upcoming BYD model, teased as the all-new BYD PHEV M9, a plug-in hybrid MPV that highlights the brand’s next step in intelligent and versatile mobility.
