The 10th and final edition of Big BWN Project’s iconic Sahur Saturday, dubbed the “Last Kopek”, kicked off on 21 February 2026, celebrating a decade of community, commerce and spiritual connection during Ramadhan.
Organised by Big BWN Project in collaboration with Progresif, the milestone event is supported by the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports.
Taking place over three consecutive Saturdays from 21 February to 7 March 2026, Sahur Saturday has become a cherished Ramadhan tradition that brings together community, small businesses and spiritual enrichment in one lively space.

The “Last Kopek” edition serves as both a celebration and a heartfelt farewell to an initiative that has consistently championed local entrepreneurs and strengthened the SME ecosystem in Brunei.
The ceremony was opened by the Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Primary Resources and Tourism, Hajah Tutiaty binti Haji Abdul Wahab.
Progresif has proudly collaborated with Big BWN Project on Sahur Saturday for the past two consecutive years, reinforcing a shared commitment to supporting local businesses and creating meaningful community-driven platforms during the holy month.

Since its inception, the Big BWN Project has played a pivotal role in providing accessible platforms for small and medium-sized enterprises to showcase their businesses, connect directly with customers, and grow their presence in the local market.
This final edition gathers over 100 vendors spanning food and beverage offerings to lifestyle and retail products, reflecting the diversity, creativity and resilience of Brunei’s entrepreneurial community. The collaboration with Progresif reflects a shared commitment to empowering local businesses and fostering inclusive economic participation, aligning closely with Progresif’s CSR focus on community development and sustainable growth.

“Over the past two years, our partnership with Big BWN Project has supported local MSMEs in adopting digital payments and reaching new customers. Through Ding!, we enable secure and seamless digital transactions while giving businesses better visibility of their sales and opportunities to grow,” said Vice President of Digital Innovation, Commercial & Innovation at Progresif Mohammad Haziq Haji Mohd Sahrip.
While this is the final edition of Sahur Saturday, he added, Ding! will continue to support local event organisers and entrepreneurs in future pop-ups and community-driven initiatives.

“We remain committed to supporting financial inclusion by making digital payments more accessible to entrepreneurs and communities across Brunei,” he said.
Beyond its lively marketplace atmosphere, Sahur Saturday continues to embrace the deeper spirit of Ramadhan. Each Saturday night, Islamic activities and inspirational talks centred on youth development and ibadah during the holy month are conducted by Belia Imtiyaz and Kumpulan Babussalam, creating meaningful opportunities for reflection, learning and connection. This blend of business, community and spirituality transforms the event into more than just a lively marketplace; it becomes a communal space that nurtures both livelihood and faith.

Throughout the event, visitors can enjoy added value through Progresif’s digital offerings, including $10 wallet activation cash rewards, exclusive Ding! merchandise and participation in the ongoing Ding to Fly campaign. The availability of tarusQR among participating vendors was introduced as part of a broader effort to promote convenient cashless experiences for both merchants and visitors. This enables merchants to accept payments not only from Ding!, but also from other participating wallets and banks.
As Sahur Saturday concludes its decade-long journey, the “Last Kopek” edition stands as a tribute to the entrepreneurs, partners, youth groups and community members who have supported and shaped its success over the years. While this marks the final chapter of Sahur Saturday, the spirit of collaboration, empowerment and collective progress it has cultivated is hoped to continue inspiring future initiatives that uplift local businesses and strengthen Brunei’s vibrant SME landscape during Ramadhan and beyond.
