A total of 50 orphans and underprivileged families from the Kampung Jerudong area received donations of rice and essential food items at a recent presentation ceremony held in conjunction with the month of Ramadan.
The event was organised by MPK Jerudong A and sponsored by Raimmar Sdn Bhd to ease the financial burden of those in need as they prepare for Ramadan and the upcoming Hari Raya Aidilfitri celebrations.
The contributions comprised necessities such as rice and essential food supplies, which organisers hope will provide meaningful support and enable recipients to observe the blessed month with greater comfort and peace of mind.
In an interview, the Acting Head of Kampung Jerudong A shared that this marked the first time such a donation programme was held in the village with sponsorship from Raimmar Sdn Bhd. He noted that while the company had previously extended similar assistance, those initiatives were carried out at its retail outlets.
The organising committee expressed sincere appreciation to the sponsor for its generosity and commitment in fulfilling its corporate social responsibility for the well-being of the local community, particularly during the holy month of Ramadan.
Present to distribute the donations were Directors of Raimmar Sdn Bhd, Haji Abd Rahim bin Haji Johan and Haji Ahmad bin Wahab, along with Managing Director Hussain Ahmad Madani bin Ahmad and Board Member Abdul Kader bin Ahmad.
Also in attendance was Acting Head of Kampung Jerudong A, Mohd Nazmi Fa’iz bin Haji Abu Bakar, who delivered a speech during the ceremony.
