Amira Sariyati was overjoyed when she was announced as the grand prize winner of Toyota Brunei’s Meriah Ria campaign for March, taking home a brand-new Toyota Rush.
Just weeks earlier, she had purchased a Toyota Alphard – a choice inspired by her father, who has long loved his own Toyota Estima. That purchase entitled her to enter the draw. Now, unexpectedly, she finds herself the owner of both an Alphard and a Rush.
For the 43-year-old, the Alphard carries deep emotional significance, as it represents a shared love with her father. “I like driving an MPV and that is why I chose the Alphard,” she explained, adding that her father’s Estima had instilled in her a lasting appreciation for Toyota’s MPVs.
“For me, Toyota is a very reliable car,” she noted, pointing out that her father’s loyalty to the brand had shaped her own. The eldest of four siblings revealed that her household already runs on three Toyotas – including a Vios and a Hilux.
Amira’s win marked the finale of Toyota Brunei’s ‘Meriah Ria’ Raya campaign for March, which concluded with a grand draw event celebrating 11 shortlisted finalists.
The campaign was launched as a token of appreciation for customer loyalty, giving participants the chance to win exciting rewards and kick off the year with a winning start.
For this initiative, customers who purchased any Toyota model between 1 March and 31 March 2026 had the chance to win attractive shopping vouchers valued from B$500 to B$3,000, with a Toyota Rush as the grand prize.
Prior to the grand draw, a pre-draw event was held via Instagram Live on 7th April 2026 to shortlist participants from among hundreds of customers who had purchased a Toyota during the campaign period. The grand draw itself followed the monthly draws held in January and February 2026.
The event began with a doa recital to bless the proceedings, and the grand draw ceremony was witnessed by NBT Brunei’s legal adviser, Naqib Mohidin from LZ Hussain & Co. The atmosphere was filled with anticipation as two rounds of selections were held.
In the first round, 11 names were drawn by Anderson Lim Eng Boon, Head of Sales at Toyota. Each participant then selected a ketupat-shaped sticker from the Meriah Raya Arch and revealed their prizes simultaneously.
Four winners received shopping vouchers worth B$500 each, namely Awangku Abdul Ba’its Pengiran Sallehudin, Julaihi Othman, Haji Alwi Mohamed and Azmey Salim.
Three winners received vouchers worth B$1,000 each: Muhamed Azrul Khafiq Omar Ali, Mark Kevin Diwa Pea and Wilson Dau Ak Ningkan. The remaining four participants advanced to the final round, with prizes presented by Anderson Lim Eng Boon.
The four finalists then progressed to the decisive round, drawn by the Vice President of Inchcape Brunei, Md Clovien Abdullah Timpoh. Their names were drawn again to determine the order and which surprise box they would choose. After all four finalists picked their boxes, they revealed their prizes simultaneously.
The fourth-place winner, Mohammad Huzaiman Haji Kassim, received a shopping voucher worth B$1,500. The third-place winner, Nadiatul Hanna Haji Zulkifli, received a voucher worth B$2,000. The second-place winner, Abdul Aziz Mohamad Ali, received a voucher worth B$3,000.
Building on this momentum, Toyota will continue offering exciting rewards and customer-focused initiatives in the coming months, strengthening its bond with the community and enhancing the overall ownership journey.
For April, the following promotions are available: two months’ free instalment and complimentary tint on the Fortuner, Vios, Raize 1.0 and Yaris Cross ICE; four months’ free instalment on the Wigo and Rush; five months’ free instalment on the Veloz and Altis; and six months’ free instalment on the Cross High, GR Yaris and Raize 1.2.
