Brunei has taken centre stage in the region as the first country in Southeast Asia to officially unveil the all-new Kia K4, marking a significant milestone for the brand’s regional expansion.
The official unveiling took place on Thursday at the Kia Showroom in Beribi, hosted by Grand Motors Sdn Bhd, the exclusive distributor of Kia vehicles in Brunei Darussalam.
The launch event brought together distinguished guests, partners, members of the media and the first proud owners of the model, underscoring the importance of the K4 in Kia’s evolving lineup.
Among those in attendance were Clark Kwon, Head of Business Strategy from Kia Asia Pacific, and Sun Nahm Kook, Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to Brunei. They were joined by directors of Grand Motors, finance partners and invited guests, reflecting the strong collaboration between Kia and its regional stakeholders.
The highlight of the evening was the official unveiling of the Kia K4, followed by a ceremonial handover of keys to the first customers in Brunei. The moment marked not only the arrival of a new model, but also the beginning of ownership journeys for early adopters.
Speaking at the event, representatives from Grand Motors shared that the K4 represents Kia’s continued evolution in design, innovation and driving performance, while reinforcing the brand’s long-term commitment to the Bruneian market.
Next-generation design and platform
Built on a new-generation K3 platform, the Kia K4 has been engineered to deliver improved refinement, with reduced noise, vibration and harshness for a smoother driving experience.
Its longer and wider proportions enhance both road presence and interior space, offering greater comfort for drivers and passengers. The model is available in both sedan and hatchback body styles, with two variants offered — the GLS and the sport-inspired GT-Line.
The K4 introduces a bold and modern design language, characterised by sharp lines, a dynamic silhouette and Kia’s signature lighting elements, giving it a strong presence on the road while maintaining everyday practicality.
GLS: Practicality meets style
The GLS variant offers a well-balanced package for daily driving, featuring 17-inch two-tone wheels, matte black exterior trims and LED lighting with Star Map daytime running lights.
Inside, the cabin is designed with functionality in mind, featuring cloth seats, a four-inch infotainment cluster and user-friendly manual controls. It is powered by a 1.6-litre MPI petrol engine paired with a six-speed automatic transmission, supported by a torsion beam rear suspension.
Essential safety features are included, making the GLS a practical and reliable option for drivers seeking comfort and efficiency.
GT-Line: Sporty and refined
For those seeking a more dynamic driving experience, the GT-Line variant elevates both design and performance.
It features 18-inch all-black wheels, a sportier front bumper and gloss black accents that enhance its athletic appeal. Inside, the cabin is upgraded with a 30-inch panoramic display, dual-zone air conditioning and a 12.3-inch digital driver display.
Premium touches include leather and cloth seats with GT-Line detailing, a leather-wrapped steering wheel with paddle shifters and an eight-speaker Harman Kardon sound system for an enhanced in-car experience.
Under the hood, the GT-Line is powered by a 1.6-litre turbocharged GDI engine paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission and a multi-link rear suspension, delivering a more responsive and refined drive.
Safety is further enhanced with six airbags and advanced driver assistance systems, providing greater confidence on the road.
A new chapter for Kia in Brunei
Following the unveiling, guests were invited to explore the Kia K4 up close, experiencing its design, features and craftsmanship firsthand while engaging with Kia representatives and partners.
The public is invited to continue the excitement at the showroom on April 10 from 9am to 4pm, where the all-new Kia K4 will be available for viewing and test drives.
