With the consent of His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, nationwide screenings of a documentary chronicling the life of the late prince, Al-Marhum His Royal Highness Prince Haji ‘Abdul will be held.
The documentary, titled “Prince Azim – Son of the Arts”, was executive produced by His Royal Highness Prince ‘Abdul Mateen, Her Royal Highness Princess ‘Azemah Ni’matul Bolkiah and Her Royal Highness Princess Fadzilah Lubabul Bolkiah.
The documentary features never seen before home video footage of Al-Marhum His Royal Highness Prince Haji ‘Abdul ‘Azim’s childhood life, giving a rare look behind the curtain into the private life of the late prince.
Directed by Sumardi Hedus of Relentless Entertainment, the documentary is a look into the vivid life, interests, and passions of Al-Marhum His Royal Highness Prince Haji ‘Abdul ‘Azim through the eyes of his family, friends, and those whose lives he has touched.
The documentary will be screened at selected cinemas across the country for the public to view.
The premiere will be held at the Empire Cinema on 29 July 2021 with tickets priced at $25 per person.
Further screenings will be held at Times Cineplex locations at The Empire, Tutong and Kuala Belait districts on 31st July and 1st August with tickets priced at $15 per person.
Majority of the proceeds will go to charities that Al-Marhum His Royal Highness Prince Haji ‘Abdul ‘Azim worked most closely with during his life, namely YASKA, Pusat Ehsan, KACA and SMARTER Brunei.
