The Embassy of Japan recently provided set meals in Japanese bento boxes to the healthcare staff at the National Isolation Centre and Pengiran Muda Mahkota Pengiran Muda Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah Hospital in Tutong.
The contribution reflects the embassy’s appreciation and continuous support to medical frontliners for their dedication and hard work in battling the second wave of COVID-19, the embassy said in a statement.
The flavourful Japanese cuisines stuffed in bento boxes were prepared by the ambassador’s chef, Shimizu, as a show of encouragement and high tribute to all frontline workers.
In addition to the bento boxes, the embassy’s team also donated some Japanese goods as a token of the embassy’s gratitude.
On hand to receive the meals was the hospital’s Acting Chief Executive Officer Abdul Muiz Haji Ibrahim. – Analisa Amu
