Darussalam Enterprise (DARe) recently organised an event called Chat & Chew, a networking event specifically for startups within DARe’s ecosystem.
Generally, carried out in iCentre, this time round of Chat & Chew was held at Brunei Shell Recreation Centre (BSRC) in Seria with the main objective to develop collaboration and networking opportunities with the Brunei Shell Joint Venture Companies (BSJV) and the Kuala Belait community.
The two-day event was initiated with a launching ceremony where opening remarks were delivered by Chief Executive Officer of DARe, Javed Ahmad and, President of BSRC Mohammad Ashraf Hj Esa followed by presentations on BSRC and DARe by Deputy President Siti Azzahra Hanafi, and Assistant Manager, Fatin Muzini respectively.
A signing ceremony between BSRC and three startups namely #Reflectionbythejayys, TopFolk and ProBike was also held at the session whereby all three startups were awarded to set up their operations at BSRC. This will allow them to further expand their clientele to the Kuala Belait community.
Additionally, other activities available to the BSJV and KB community included business showcases where a total of 32 startups that were part of DARe’s business boot camps set up their booths to interact with the public.
These businesses include Grominda, GoMamam, Track&Roll, Shyaqile, Rumine, Kommunihub, Hana Nishah, A.L. Tavrn GG Brew, A.L. Tavrn Gaming Longue, 3D Kampungan, Zaiko Clothing & Co, Headhunter Sport, Kaiger Sports, Arquilato Kusina, Al-Kindi, Adriana Audady, Pastrify Bake House, Curated by Nisa, KPG Company, Super Squad Soccer, Nur Ar-rahman, Mositjito, #ReflectionByTheJayys, ProBike, Futurebrands, Mindtrex Academy, Memori.BN, DayangPA, ONZ Group, Nawana KR, Ninetytree Design, Memori BN and Benchlab.
Other participating agencies that joined the event included Bank Usahawan and Let’s Eat Seria.

DARe’s Chat and Chew is a networking event especially for the startups developed in DARe’s ecosystem. Networking events can be useful for startups if they have a goal in mind of what they want to achieve, whether if they are looking for an investor or mentor, or perhaps to learn from their fellow startups.
