Online learning to resume for two weeks, home gathering limited to 30 people

All educational institutions childcare centers, kindergartens, primary schools, secondary schools, religious schools and form six centres under the Ministry of Education, Ministry of Religious Affairs, and the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports will resume their learning session online for two weeks from 7 to 19 March 2022.

This move is following low students’ attendance to school and allowing teachers to provide a more complete focus to students, said Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office and Second Minister of Finance and Economy.

He further said that consideration will be given to schools that seek to conduct face-to-face teaching and learning to prepare for students sitting for international examinations.

Mass gathering guideline revised

Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Dr Hj Mohd Amin Liew further said that gatherings in private homes are now limited to 30 people and must perform the rapid tests prior to attending the event.

He also said that other health guidelines such as wearing a face mask, physical distancing and use of hand sanitiser, among others, must always be complied with.

Meanwhile, events conducted in function halls are still limited to 300 people with organisers must make sure that every attendee performs the rapid test and scan the BruHealth QR code prior to entry.
