Indera Motors recently joined the Society for Community and Outreach and Training (SCOT) Social Kitchen programme, donating 250 meals to socioeconomically challenged families and foreign workers registered with the Community Development Department (JAPEM).
This year, the SCOT Social Kitchen initiative worked with disadvantaged communities, particularly single mothers, to provide 4,000 home-cooked meals to other socioeconomically challenged communities across the country.
Indera Motors’ staff volunteered to assist mothers with meal preparation, cooking and packing at the kitchen located in Jalan Utama Berakas.
The authorised distributor of Jaguar and Land Rover vehicles in the country also provided transportation aid for the delivery of meals.
The retailer’s sponsorship of the Social Kitchen initiative is part of its Corporate Social Responsibility mission to deliver lasting, positive impacts to its communities.
