His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, yesterday attended a dinner hosted by His Excellency Joseph R. Biden Jr., President of the United States of America, in honour of ASEAN Leaders and delegations attending the ASEAN-United States (U.S.) Special Summit.
The dinner was held at the White House, Washington D.C.
Accompanying His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam was His Royal Highness Prince ‘Abdul Mateen.
This year, ASEAN and the U.S. are commemorating their 45th anniversary of Dialogue Relations. Leaders’ discussions during the ASEAN-U.S. Special Summit are expected to focus on efforts to advance relations and further enhance cooperation between ASEAN and the U.S. in the years to come.
Prior to the Dinner, His Majesty joined other Leaders for a group photo session.
