The Korean Government is offering the ‘2023 Global Korea Scholarship for Graduate Degrees’ to Bruneians interested to further their studies in Korea.
The objective of the scholarship programme is designed to provide higher education in Korea for international students, with the aim of promoting international exchange in education, as well as mutual friendship among the participating countries.
A total number of 1,300 students worldwide including successful Bruneian candidates have the opportunity to study in Korea under the 2023 GKS Programme for Graduate Degrees.
Korean Embassy in a statement said that four quotas are given to Bruneians through the mission’s selection for both degree (master or doctoral) and research programmes.
Applicants must choose their desired fields of study from the listed programmes in the university information section provided by participating universities.
As of 2023, scholarship applicants are expected to already graduate by 28 February 2023.
Applicants should meet the full requirements of the scholarship and completed application forms must be submitted directly to the Korean Embassy by 14 March 2023 (Tuesday).
Documents such as proof of citizenship, certificate of graduation, academic transcript, and proof of age (if other than IC and passport) must be apostilled (Brunei Supreme Court) before submission.
