Brunei LNG Sdn Bhd (Brunei LNG) recently hosted a graduation ceremony for some 44 employees who completed the Operative Technician Progression Scheme (OTPS), Engineering Technician Progression Scheme (ETPS), and Brunei LNG Graduate Development Programme (BGP).
The event aimed to celebrate the achievements of Brunei LNG’s young Bruneian graduates and recognise their families for their support, demonstrating the company’s continued commitment towards staff development.
Aligned with the goals of Brunei Darussalam’s Wawasan 2035, emphasising the importance of education, high-level skills and accomplishments for the nation’s people, these programmes reflect Brunei LNG’s commitment to these objectives.
The graduation ceremony served as a reflection of Brunei LNG’s dedication to these goals as well as its continuous efforts to ensure Bruneians are nurtured, developed and equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to take up more challenging roles in the future.
Showing resilience during the challenges posed by the global COVID-19 pandemic and completion of their programmes demonstrated the success of Brunei LNG’s commitment to accelerating the development of new joiners such that they can contribute as an independent, competent and confident member of the workforce.
It also provided an opportunity for Brunei LNG to express gratitude to supervisors, coaches, trainers and learning advisors for their dedication to developing the company’s talents.
Acting Managing Director and CEO of Brunei LNG Mohd Suwarso Haji Mudjono in his keynote address underscored the graduates’ pivotal role in shaping a Brunei LNG that is Safe, Reliable, and Competitive, embodying the essence of One BLNG.
“Your dedication and collaboration resonate with our collective journey towards safety, reliability and competitiveness. The One BLNG mindset fosters alignment, collaboration and a shared focus, making our unity the most potent asset,” he said.
Suwarso added: “Always remember that you are the architect of your development. Embrace a mindset of continuous learning, fearlessly express your ideas, and actively seek opportunities for growth and improvement.”
Four graduates representing each programme Ainool Zamree Mohd Rhymee (OTPS); Muhd Sya’akirin @ Sa’adiqin Skandar Mohd Sa’at (ETPS); and Siti Noor Rafidah Rosli (BGP) delivered their speeches highlighting their personal and professional growth.
Ainool shared the journey has been transformative, not only in terms of skills but also in building resilience and teamwork. Meanwhile, Rafidah Rosli expressed her gratitude that Brunei LNG’s support has been instrumental in their success, making the journey memorable and impactful.
On his part, Shakirin emphasised the importance of collaboration which the ETPS programme taught them the value of working together and its impact on their collective success.
Furthermore, in her welcoming remarks, Brunei LNG’s Human Resources, External Relations, Real Estate and Facilities Manager Mizan Adiliah Haji Mohamad Deli provided insights into each programme highlighting the achievements and milestones.
“All the development programmes that we offer at Brunei LNG align perfectly with Brunei Darussalam’s Wawasan 2035, striving to ensure its people are educated, highly skilled and accomplished,” she said.
