Academy of Korean Studies summer programme opens for application

The Academy of Korean Studies (AKS) in the Republic of Korea is offering the 36th and 37th AKS Summer Program for International Students to qualified undergraduate Bruneian students.

The programme will be conducted in Korea from July 1 to July 19, 2024 (36th AKS Program) and August 5 to August 23, 2024 (37th AKS Program) aimed to cultivate young leaders who can contribute to the development of Korean studies.

The programme is composed of various components, such as special lectures on Korea, an intensive Korean language course, field trips, excursions, and traditional cultural activities.

AKS will cover the cost of registration, lectures, accommodations, and meals during the programme. Applications can be made through AKS website at www.aks.ac.kr

Second-year undergraduate university students, who are majoring or minoring in Korean studies, or those who took Korea-related courses from their universities, are eligible to apply.

Candidates who wish to apply must submit their application form; certificate of enrollment; official university transcripts; Korean proficiency evaluation sheet (downloadable at the website); and certificates to prove Korean language proficiency (optional) to the AKS website between January 29 and February 23, 2024.
