Brunei LNG gifts over 100 orphans in annual donation drive

Brunei LNG Sendirian Berhad (Brunei LNG) recently handed over donations consisting of cash, school supplies, and daily essentials to some 149 orphans residing in Mukim Liang, Belait District and children of late Brunei LNG employees.

The donations were contributed during several events and initiatives within Brunei LNG, through the allocation of donation boxes, charity bazaars, yearly revenue from vending machines within the premises, and the Health Life programme.

The Orphan Donation is part of the annual planned activities for Brunei LNG for the month of Ramadhan and was led by the President of the Badan Pekerja-Pekerja Islam (BPPI) Brunei LNG, Md Hassanal Adilah Md Junaidi, in collaboration with the External Relations department of Brunei LNG. The BPPI is the Body of Muslim Employees in Brunei LNG and they lead all Islamic initiatives on behalf of Brunei LNG.

BPPI organises Orphan Donations and charity drives, donations to the underprivileged and other religious activities annually which are also part of Brunei LNG’s support to the community as part of Brunei LNG’s Social Investment Strategy, in extending a helping hand to its fellow community members in need.

Brunei LNG will continue to be committed to similar ventures in the interest of ensuring the well-being of the community in which it operates. The initiative is aimed to encourage staff members to show care and appreciation towards the community it operates alongside. It also creates opportunities for staff to do good deeds during the holy month and hopefully helps lighten the families’ burden and bring them happiness.

Present at the handover was the Acting Managing Director and CEO of Brunei LNG, Mohd Suwarso Haji Mudjono along with representatives of the Brunei LNG Leadership Team.
