Brunei Shell Petroleum Company Sdn Bhd (BSP) recently celebrated Hari Raya Aidilfitri with the Belait communities and stakeholders at Pusat Insani in Belait.
This year, BSP’s theme for the celebration was ‘Corak-Corak Raya’, which celebrates traditional motifs commonly found in local textile and art designs.
The event showcased works by trainees at Pusat Bahagia Eric Goh, which weaves elements of Aidilfitri and the Oil and Gas Industry in celebration of BSP’s 95th Anniversary.
BSP also took the opportunity to showcase local Belait businesses, while at the same time including performances by local entertainers.
BSP Managing Director Shell Country Chair in Brunei Darussalam Agnete Johnsgaard-Lewis in her welcoming speech extended that the importance and appreciation of collaborations.
“I do believe that our successes so far could have only been achieved as result of the commitment and partnership with everyone here,” she said.
She added: “And it is with that spirit that we must continue to realise and synergise opportunities to materialise our ambitions today and hopefully towards many more in the future”.
The event continued into the afternoon as BSP personnel took the opportunity to welcome more members of the community.
In attendance celebrating the joyous occasion with BSP were other senior BSP management and personnel, members of the Brunei Legislative Council, Yang Berhormat Awang Haji Mohammad Salleh Haji Othman and Yang Berhormat Awang Mohammad Abdullah.
The event also welcomed Yang Dimuliakan Pehin Dato Paduka Raja Major General (R) Dato Paduka Seri Haji Shari bin Ahmad together with Belait community members ranging from educational institutions and government institutions among other stakeholders.
