A people mover for the next generation, the MIFA luxury seven-seater MPV is set to shake up its segment thanks to its sleek exterior styling, latest safety and technology features, and room for every passenger to travel in comfort and style no matter how far the journey.
With its bold face framed by daytime running lights, wide stance and distinctive LED rear light signature, the all-new MIFA redefines what people movers should look like.
The Maxus MIFA was showcased this May to Brunei with two different trim levels- Premium and Luxury, MIFA comes equipped with either a 2.0-liter turbocharged petrol engine with 230hp or a 2.0-liter turbocharged diesel engine with just 120hp.
The MIFA is certainly imposing with its large vertical grille, slender LED daytime running lights and prominent side cutouts for the main LED headlamps and air intakes.
There is plenty of chrome garnish on display and customers can even choose a premium two-tone paint scheme with a Concrete Grey primary colour and black roof – alternatives are all monotone (Blanc White, Pearl White, Mica Blue and Metal Black).
Inside, comfort is a priority and will be offered as standard with a 2-2-3 seating layout. Depending on the variant, there are seven seats including six-way electrically adjustable Captain’s Chairs in the first and second row which can be configured for ease of access, while footrests and fold-out tray tables allow passengers to travel business class every day.
The MIFA sports a minimalist dashboard with slim air vents and integrated touch-sensitive controls for the climate system, both positioned below the 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system that supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Another display is a seven-inch unit ahead of the driver that acts as a digital instrument cluster.
Depending on the trim, the MIFA comes with available features such as black leather upholstery, 64-colour ambient lighting, power-sliding rear doors, a powered tailgate, an electronic parking brake (with auto brake hold), dedicated second-row climate controls, an air purifier, powered front and second-row seats, a 12-speaker sound system and a wireless charging pad.
Safety continues to be a vital mainstay of every new Maxus model and the new MIFA is no exception.
MIFA models come packed with a more robust list of safety features and driver assistance features including the following as standard: ESP, EBD, brake assist, ABS, autonomous emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning, lane keep assist, blind spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, rear collision warning, hill descent control and traffic sign recognition.
All these are standard across the range, with the only difference between the variants being the inclusion of a 360-degree camera for the Premium trim.
