Abdul Gani Haji Abdul Latip is set for a memorable trip to Japan when he won the grand prize of Grand Auto’s ‘Hari Raya Aidilfitri Berkat Raya Deals’ promotion.
He was among 30 shortlisted customers who bought a Mazda during the campaign period that ran from 1 March 2024 to 30 May 2024 organised by the exclusive distributor of Mazda vehicles in Brunei.
The Mazda CX-9 owner was overcome with joy as he opened a mystery box containing a trip for two to Tokyo, Japan.
In an interview, Abdul Gani said that he was impressed with the performance and reliability of Mazda CX-9 which influenced his decision to own his first-ever Mazda.
“The price is reasonable for me while taking advantage of the discount during the promotion. This is also the last production of the CX-9. It is a very nice and powerful car,” said the 60-year-old retiree.
He added: “The car is a treat to me after retirement and winning this trip is a rezeki. I am looking forward to travelling to Japan with my wife.”
Two top winners Caroline Ho Mei Ling and Ng Eng Kiat won a trip to Korea and Taiwan inclusive with accommodation, respectively.
Meanwhile, twenty-seven others won prizes ranging from $500 cash vouchers to the latest gadgets such as Apple iPad Air 5, Apple Watch Ultra 2, Samsung Galaxy S24 series phones, iPhone 15 series phones, and the Apple MacBook Air M2.
On hand to present the prizes were Managing Director of Grand Auto Frankie Ho, Executive Director Hj Shaiful Rizal Pehin Dato Dr Hj Ahmad and Executive Director Pg Hj Abdul Qahar PSD Major General (Rtd) Pg Hj Ibnu Basit.
The grand prize presentation ceremony was also attended by the Sales Manager of Mazda Brunei Magdeline Hiew, Head of Claims and Corporate Services of Tokio Marine Insurance Grace Wong Wei Chi, Head of Marketing & Public Relations of BIBD At-Tamwil Asharul Norshari Kamaluddin and Head of Sales Division of Baiduri Finance Berhad Hj Muhammad Ali BM Hj Metusin.
