The Young Entrepreneurs Association Brunei (YEAB) recently welcomed His Excellency Abel Guterres, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Democratic Republic of Timor-Leste, and a distinguished delegation of ten members from Future Lider Ba ASEAN (FLBA) to its association at Maven’s Hive in Kiulap.
The event marked a promising step towards fostering entrepreneurial ties and mutual understanding between Brunei and Timor-Leste.
Established to empower the next generation of Bruneian entrepreneurs, our President, Goh Chai Li provided a detailed briefing about our association’s foundation, its development over the years and the various activities and events that they organised to promote entrepreneurship.
The presentation highlighted its membership packages, designed to offer extensive resources and networking opportunities to aspiring and established entrepreneurs
alike.
A lively question and answer session followed, where Ambassador Guterres and the FLBA visitors engaged with YEAB representatives over light tea and Brunei’s famous delicacy, “Tapak Kuda”.
The questions from our distinguished guests ranged from the operational aspects of YEAB, such as funding and registration processes, to our strategies for sustaining a vibrant entrepreneurial community.
The interactive session provided valuable insights and fostered a deeper understanding of the entrepreneurial landscape in Brunei.
The event also featured a productive networking session, allowing YEAB members and the FLBA delegation to share their business experiences and forge valuable connections.
YEAB members had the opportunity to present their ventures, exchange knowledge, and learn about the economic and demographic landscape of Timor-Leste. This exchange of ideas and information proved to be enriching for both parties, laying the groundwork for future collaborations and partnerships.
YEAB is enthusiastic about the new ties built during this visit and looks forward to strengthening our relationship with the entrepreneurial community of Timor-Leste.
“The event has not only broadened our horizons but also set the stage for potential collaborative ventures that could benefit both nations,” said YEAB.
