Tutong in festive spirit for Sultan’s 78th birthday celebration

Thousands thronged the Tutong District Civic Centre Complex field to celebrate His Majesty the Sultan’s 78th birthday, creating an atmosphere full of joy and love for the monarch.

Tutong was the first district for the royal get-together, showcasing a 16-minute field performance carrying the theme ‘Raja Berdaulat, Kesayangan Rakyat’.

His Majesty was accompanied by His Royal Highness Prince Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah, the Crown Prince and Senior Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office; His Royal Highness Prince ‘Abdul Malik; His Royal Highness Prince ‘Abdul Mateen; His Royal Highness Prince Mohamed Bolkiah; and His Royal Highness Prince Haji Jefri Bolkiah.

Hundreds of primary and secondary students gathered along the roadside waving miniature national flags to welcome the sultan and members of the royal family to the district.

Over 300 individuals were involved in the field performances, comprising youths and students from the district.

The 16-minute show was divided into two segments – a musical drama and a song finale.
