The Royal Embassy of Saudi Arabia of Brunei Darussalam celebrated its 94th National Day on Tuesday at the Royal Berkshire Hall at the Royal Brunei Polo and Riding Club in Jerudong.
The event began with the national anthem of Brunei Darussalam and Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, followed by the recitation of Al-Quran verses by Ahmad Mufrih Azzawani Haji Mohd Zainul Arifin Lubis.
During the event, guests were also shown videos of Saudi Arabia projects including the the Pilgrim Experience (Hajj and Umrah) programme which is part of the Saudi Vision 2030 plan, the Saudi Green Initiative, Riyadh Expo 2030 and Saudi 2034, where the country will host the FIFA World Cup in 2034.
The event was graced by Minister of Religious Affairs Yang Berhormat Pehin Udana Khatib Dato Paduka Seri Setia Ustaz Haji Awang Badaruddin Pengarah Dato Paduka Haji Awang Othman and his spouse, Datin Hajah Nahriah Haji Hasbi.
In attendance to greet them were the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosque to Brunei Darussalam, His Excellency Mohammed Abdullah H. Al Buraithin
His Excellency Al Buraithin also presented Yang Berhormat a beautifully designed crystal plaque depicting the iconic door of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia and symbolic gift that embodies the values of diplomacy, resilience, and the enduring strength of international relations.
Throughout the night guests also had the opportunity to enjoy a hearty buffet spread.
