The much-anticipated Sabre Brunei Travel Fair is set to return with its 19th edition from 5 – 6 October at the Arena Hall, Indoor Stadium, Hassanal Bolkiah National Sport Complex, Berakas
The two-day event will feature airlines, banks, tourism boards, insurance services, telecommunications, and travel agents, showcasing their products and services to potential travellers.
The fair is open to all, providing the convenience of shopping for a wide range of travel deals under a single roof.
“The Sabre Brunei Travel Fair is a major event for the nation, offering benefits to Bruneians, the expatriate community, our partners, and the entire travel industry,” stated Abd Halim Haji Abd Rahman, General Manager of Sabre Travel Network Brunei.
“Held at the Indoor Stadium, this travel fair aims to create a conducive environment for exhibitors and travellers alike, providing a convenient space to explore a variety of excellent travel deals all under one roof,” he added
Not only that but to ensure optimal customer experience, Sabre will provide over 50 workstations to the 17 Sabre-connected travel agencies participating in the fair, enabling the agents to efficiently create, shop and service a full spectrum of bookable content.
On her part, RB Regional Manager Borneo Lim Guat Wen shared that Royal Brunei Airlines (RB) will also be offering the best deals and early bird fares for destinations including Korea, Naning, Kota Kinabalu, Singapore, Taipei, London, Dubai, Vietnam and many more.
Tourism Malaysia in Brunei will also be participating for the upcoming edition.
Deputy Director of Tourism Malaysia Brunei Roshdi Abdul Ghani said during the press conference: “From January to June 2024, Malaysia recorded 565,999 Brunei tourist arrivals to Malaysia, making Brunei Darussalam the top 5 tourist arrivals contributor from the ASEAN region.”
“For this year, we have set a target of 1.345 million tourist arrivals from Brunei Darussalam. With the support from our local partners, we hope that we are able to reach our target,” he added.
This year Tourism Malaysia co-exhibitors include ATTANA Hotels & Resorts Sdn. Bhd, Movenpick Hotel & Convention Centre KLIA, Resorts World Genting, Tropical Charters Sdn. Bhd, Novotel Kuala Lumpur City Centre, Lexis Hotel Group, Tamu Hotels & Suites Kuala Lumpur, Hyatt Regency Kinabalu, Labuan Rusukan Besar Resort and SuperPark Malaysia
The deputy director also shared that Tourism Malaysia is collaborating with partners including their special packages, in collaboration with SCA and Baiduri, in the Cuti-Cuti Malaysia Swipe and Win packages.
Participating travel agents include Anthony Tours & Travel Agency, As Safa Travel & Tours, At-Taqwa Travel Tours, Atika Arif Tours, Continental Yachting, Dar El Ehsan Travel, DarussalamServices, Firdaus Al-Munawwarah Travel Services, Freme Travel Services, Ghufran Travel & Tours, Halim Tours & Travel, J J Tour Service, Lamisa International Travel & Tours, Pan Bright Travel Service, Southern Cross Travel Agencies, Straits Central Agencies and Titian Travel & Tours.
In addition, this year’s national tourism organisations that are participating include the Brunei Tourism Board, Malaysia Tourism Promotion Board, Sabah Tourism Board, Sarawak Tourism Board, Taiwan Tourism Administration KL Office, and the Tourism Authority of Thailand.
Moreover, other participants that will be on site with their own booths include Royal Brunei Airlines, Baiduri Bank Berhad, Bank Islam Brunei Darussalam, Imagine, Perbadanan TAIB and Standard Chartered Bank.
Not forgetting,Insurans Islam TAIB Holdings, National Insurance Company Berhad and Takaful Brunei Am will also be present to provide Insurance services.
