The much-anticipated Sabre Brunei Travel Fair has returned for two days from 5 to 6 October, showcasing attractive deals and packages from various travel agencies.
Held at the Arena Hall at the Indoor Stadium, Hassanal Bolkiah National Sports Complex in Berakas, the 19th edition travel fair underscored their dedication to providing travel partners with a platform to
showcase their products and services.
“We extend our gratitude to our partners and travellers for their participation and look forward to their continued support for future Sabre Brunei Travel Fairs,” said Chairman of Sabre Travel Network Brunei Captain Sabirin Haji Abdul Hamid.
He added that the Department of Civil Aviation Brunei Darussalam reported a 22.97 percent increase in Total Passenger Movement at Brunei International Airport from January to July 2024 compared to the same period in 2023.
“As I mentioned in my opening remark last year, according to Ministry of Transport and Infocommunications (MTIC), if we continue to experience a double-digit growth, the number of passenger movements is expected to return to the level of 2019 by 2026,” said the captain.
He further said that the event continues to provide travel partners with a platform to showcase their products and services and offer unique deals to travellers seeking their dream vacations.
The chairman also extends gratitude and appreciation to the fair’s partners.
“First, we extend our gratitude to Royal Brunei Airlines, the major shareholder of Sabre TN Brunei, for their continuous participation and contribution to this event, including sponsoring the exciting lucky draw prizes and offering great promotional fares to visitors,” he said.
He also mentioned other partners for the support and contributions namely; Baiduri Bank, Brunei.Events, The Bruneian, Cityneon Brunei, Imagine, Malaysia Tourism Promotion Board, Mixmedia, Mint, Mixel and Takaful Brunei Am.
“Next, I would like to extend a big thank you to all participating travel agents including Anthony Tours & Travel Agency, As Safa Travel and Tours, At-Taqwa Tours & Travel, Dar El Ehsan Travel, Darussalam Services, Freme Travel Services, Halim Tours & Travel, Pan Bright Travel Service, JJ Tour & Travel Service, Southern Cross Travel Agencies and Straits Central Agencies,” said Captain Sabirin.
He added: “It gives me great pleasure to highlight the participation of our exhibitors: Brunei Tourism Development Department, Bank Islam Brunei Darussalam, Perbadanan Tabung Amanah Islam Brunei & Insuran Islam TAIB, Sabah Tourism Board, Sarawak Tourism Board, Standard Chartered Bank, Taiwan Tourism Administration KL Office and Tourism Authority of Thailand.”
The travel also featured new exhibitors Atika Arif Tours, Continental Yachting, Firdaus Al-Munawwarah Travel Services, Ghufran Travel & Tours, Lamisa International Tours & Travels, National Insurance Company and Titian Travel & Tours.
In attendance as the guest of honour was MTIC Permanent Secretary Haji Mohammad Nazri Haji Mohammad Yusuf.
