Bank Islam Brunei Darussalam (BIBD) is set to host the BIBD Mega Karnival from 13 to 17 November, 10AM to 10PM at BRIDEX Halls 1 and 2.
The first-of-its-kind event aims to bring the community together, celebrate loyal customers, and support local businesses
With five days packed with excitement, the Mega Karnival promises an array of fun activities, entertainment, and the chance to win amazing prizes.
The BIBD Mega Karnival is not only a way to celebrate but also a heartfelt gesture of appreciation for BIBD’s loyal customers.
BIBD’s Chief Marketing Officer Hjh Nurul Akmar Hj Mohd Jaafar said the carnival is an appreciation to their customers for their support and loyalty.
“The BIBD Mega Karnival is really about thanking our customers for their support and loyalty. We want to create this event as a way of connecting with our customers and the community, creating a space for families to enjoy time together and convey our gratitude to those who have stood by us,” she said.
She further said that the main drive behind the BIBD Mega Karnival is to create a one-stop shop with something for everyone.
“Customers who have been meaning to apply for one of our products but haven’t had time to go to a branch, come to the Mega Karnival where you can apply and stand a chance to win,” she said.
She added: “If you’re interested in coffee, cars, or even in the market for your first home, it’s all available at the BIBD Mega Karnival. We want everyone to know that there’s truly something for everyone here.”
Event partners Imagine, Kristal FM, BEDB, and Royal Brunei Airlines will also be present, showcasing their offerings and contributing to the festive spirit of the Karnival.
Hjh Nurul Akmar also said, “We would like to take this opportunity to thank our event partners. Their support plays a crucial role in making this event possible, highlighting the spirit of collaboration to create a memorable experience for the entire community.”
What’s at the Karnival
The BIBD Mega Karnival will showcase over 300 booths, featuring more than 100 food and beverage vendors, a dedicated gathering of over 20 local coffee vendors, and nearly 40 of the latest car models for visitors to explore.
Visitors can also enjoy a wide selection of local artisanal products, fashion, beauty booths, and various lifestyle offerings that will create a vibrant marketplace atmosphere.
The event will also promote a cashless experience, encouraging attendees to use digital payments for added convenience and safety throughout the Karnival.
In addition, there will be fireside chats series of BIBD’s ‘Bicara Santai’ focusing on topics such as entrepreneurship, sustainability and mental health, making this an inspirational, educational as well as a fun event.
Start-ups will have the chance to learn from local entrepreneurs who understand the challenges and opportunities of operating in the local market.
Other topics during the fireside chat will include mental health, and sustainability, as well as a special talk on coffee culture.
With more than 30 activities planned, the BIBD Mega Karnival has something for everyone. Families can enjoy movie nights featuring local movies, fun games, bouncers, a petting zoo, carnival games, and even a go-kart course—all completely free!
Fitness enthusiasts can also take part in the Hyrox challenges, while Gen Z visitors can dive into e-sports tournaments.
Coffee lovers will be thrilled by the mini coffee convention featuring local coffee vendors, while car enthusiasts can explore a wide selection of the latest car models.
Exciting Prizes
Attendees will also have the chance to win from a prize pool worth B$300,000, including not one but two cars. BIBD will be running their Spend & Win, Transact & Win, as well as Apply & Win campaigns throughout the event, providing many opportunities to walk away with something special.
The Bank will also have a dedicated booth throughout the Karnival, where visitors can explore BIBD’s array of products and services, providing a range of options to suit our customers’ needs. The BIBD team will be ready to assist and provide guidance on our range of financial products.

The press conference for the Karnival was held at Tarindak D’Seni in the capital.
Also in attendance were BIBD’s event partners Brunei Economic Development Board (BEDB), Royal Brunei Airlines, Mastercard, Imagine and Kristal FM.
Representatives from the event’s official contractor D’Sunlit were also present during the press conference.
