In his remarks, he emphasised the need for customs administrations to remain adaptive, forward-looking, and resilient in navigating evolving global challenges and uncertainties. He highlighted that supply chain resilience and transparency are increasingly critical, alongside the adoption of digitalisation and technological advancements to support seamless regional connectivity.

He further underscored the pivotal role of the CCC in advancing regional economic integration, facilitating trade, and ensuring the effective implementation of ASEAN customs initiatives. Strengthening connectivity, transparency, and efficiency across borders, he said, remains essential to reinforcing ASEAN’s position as a dynamic and integrated economic region within the Association of Southeast Asian Nations framework.
