‘Whispers of the Wild: Brunei’s Nature’ exhibition opens at Malay Technology Museum

The duo art exhibition Whispers of the Wild: Brunei’s Nature was officially launched at the Malay Technology Museum, celebrating Brunei’s rich biodiversity and natural beauty through art from 16 to 20 May 2026.

The exhibition features works by local artists Dk. Kemariah binti Pg Haji Duraman, also known as Kem Yeoh, and Dyg. Noorfitriah Hafiizah binti Md Hassan, known as Moi Sunnn.

Presented by Larvsh Concept in collaboration with Kunyit 7 Lodge, the exhibition showcases artistic interpretations inspired by Brunei’s flora, fauna and wildlife habitats.

The launch ceremony was officiated by Minister of Primary Resources and Tourism Dato Seri Setia Dr Haji Abdul Manaf bin Haji Metussin.

According to the organisers, the exhibition aims to raise awareness on biodiversity and encourage appreciation for the natural environment, particularly among the younger generation.

For both artists, nature serves as a therapeutic and reflective space that inspires their creative expression through colour, texture and form. Through their artworks, visitors are invited to experience nature not only visually, but emotionally.

Kem Yeoh’s pieces capture the intricate details and spirit of the Borneo wilderness, while Moi Sunnn presents vibrant interpretations of local flora and fauna.

Organised by Larvsh Concept and Kunyit 7 Lodge, the exhibition is supported by Jabatan Muzium-Muzium and Borneo Twitchers, with sponsorship from Pixel Event and Kitani Taste.
