Brunei enacts travel ban from Indonesia

Brunei has put a temporary ban on entry approvals for foreign nationals departing from or through Indonesia, following the surge of COVID-19 cases in the country.

In a statement issued by the Prime Minister’s Office, the suspension is with immediate effect until further notice.

This applies to entry travels of all foreign nationals departing from or through any airport in Indonesia or travelling from the republic to Brunei via transit at any other airport.

In addition, the temporary ban also applies to foreign nationals who have been granted pre-approvals to enter Brunei from Indonesia, which has therefore been suspended.
