Shell LiveWIRE Brunei recently announced winners of its Business Awards 2021 and launched the digital platform iCASHFLOW.bnand the Alumni Profiles E-Book in a virtual event.
For this year, the awards gathered some 35 registrants and 27entries, comprising of 17 submissions under Start-up Category, four from Open Category and five submissions from Higher Institution Category.
The LiveWIRE Brunei Business Awards is intended to honour and reward outstanding young entrepreneurs in Brunei that can propose high-quality business plans and run successful businesses with a monetary prize of $30,000 to be claimed, said the oganisation in a statement.
The ‘Business Award Focus’ has identified five main areas in the competition – agrotechnology, energy transition, waste management, digitalisation, and smart manufacturing – to provide local nation’s strategic drive towards Digitalisation and Industrial Revolution 4.0. The project began in May of this year, with participants attending a 4-day LiveWIRE Bootcamp in July and receiving business mentoring along the way.
In her opening speech, In-Country Value Manager at Brunei Shell Petroleum and Chairperson of Shell LiveWIRE Brunei Hajah Rosita Haji Hasan said she is proud with LiveWIRE’s 20-year journey and that the award ceremony signified multiple milestones in one event.
“To commemorate this milestone, we are launching the 20th Anniversary e-book, launch the mobile application iCashflow.bnand lastly, prize presentation for winners of the Business Award,” she said.
iCASHFLOW.bna digital platform for cash flow management for entrepreneurs in Brunei, providing better visualisation and organisation for cashflow projection, planning and reporting.
The features include scanning and storing invoices and receipts, which then can be exported for reporting, invoice tracking and pocket-sized functionality on cashflow reporting and summary.
The app is available in Malay and English and can now be downloaded for free on both Google Play and Apple App Store.
The app can be used by any budding entrepreneurs as well as micro and small businesses to help them manage their cash flow in a more systematic manner.
Meanwhile, its Alumni Profiles E-Book which was previously known as “The Profiles”, has now been converted into an E-book – a compilation of LiveWIRE Brunei programmes and events, milestones, and profiles of selected alumni member over the course of the company’s operation for the past 20 years.
It is now available as a digital copy that is readily available on the local website – livewirebrunei.com/ebook/
