Calling all artists and photography enthusiasts!
In commemoration of World Ozone Day, The Ministry of Development through the Department of Environment, Parks and Recreation (DEPR) is organising the Asia Pacific Regional Ozone2Climate Art Contest.
The art campaign aims to raise the awareness of people in the region about ozone layer depletion and its linkage with climate change.
Celebrated on 16 September each year, World Ozone Day is a product of the Montreal Protocol Convention under the United Nations Environmental Programme (UNEP), seeking to protect the ozone layer by phasing out ozone depleting substances.
The theme for 2021 World Ozone Day is ‘Montreal Protocol – Keeping us, our food and vaccines cool.’
The overall initiative is jointly organised by the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), National Ozone Units (NOUs) in the Asia-Pacific, and supported by Mahidol University.
The Asia Pacific Regional Ozone2Climate Art Contest will be conducted in two phases.
The first phase will be the Asia Pacific Ozone2Climate Art Contest at the national level. The national winners will then enter the regional contest, which will be the second phase of the contest.
