Turkish Embassy hosts cuisine workshop for food lovers

The embassy of the Republic of Turkey recently organised the Turkish Cuisine Workshop in conjunction with the occasion of Global Turkish Cuisine Week led by certified Turkish Chef, Adem Can.

The gastronomical event involved ten food lovers who were selected via Instagram @turkishembassybrunei.

During the workshop, participants were expected to learn the skills and methodology of making three delectable and flavorful Turkish dishes and delicacies according to traditional recipes.

The dishes were namely Kısır (Bulghur Salad) Yaprak Sarma (Stuffed Vine Leaves) and Tulumba Tatlısı (Syrup-Soaked Pastry)

Turkish Cuisine Week was launched all around the world under the auspices of the First Lady of the Republic of Turkey, Emine Erdoğan and coordinated by the Turkish Ministry of Culture and Tourism to appreciate Turkey’s deeply rooted culinary tradition, a blend of cuisine from Central Asia, the Middle East and the Mediterranean, established on the foundations of various civilisations for thousands of years.
