McDonald’s Brunei recently celebrated International Women’s Day with the theme #EmbraceEquity which aimed to appreciate the accomplishments of women and promote gender equity in all aspects of life.
To commemorate the special day, all McDonald’s stores in Brunei were decorated in purple, the official color of International Women’s Day. Additionally, the Airport Mall branch had an all-women staff for the entire day, showcasing the company’s commitment to providing equal opportunities for all.
In addition, McDonald’s Brunei gave away bouquets of chocolates at all of its branches as a token of appreciation for the hard work and dedication of all its female employees. All staff members were wearing badges with the message “We embrace women’s achievements” and “We celebrate the amazing impact of women.”

International Women’s Day is an annual global event that celebrates the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women. McDonald’s Brunei is proud to join the global community in recognizing the importance of women’s contributions and advocating for gender equity.
McDonald’s Asian Business Unit has organised another collaboration, where participating markets including Philippines, South West India, Thailand, Indonesia and North East India, have selected one McDonald’s employee who has made a significant impact not just in their daily work, but also in balancing their time with family.
