Bank Islam Brunei Darussalam contributes to nearly 4,000 orphans

Bank Islam Brunei Darussalam (BIBD) recently handed over contributions to almost 4,000 orphans registered under the Community Development Department, Ministry of Culture Youth and Sports.

The event also coincided with the presentation of awards under the Excellent Students Incentive Award Scheme for Orphans (Skim Hadiah Galakan Pelajar Cemerlang Anak Anak Yatim).

The donations are part of an annual event organised by the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports (MCYS) in collaboration with the District Offices under the Ministry of Home Affairs as well as BIBD. Typically held in the month of Ramadhan, the donations are hoped to lessen the financial burden of families preparing for the upcoming festive season.
