The donations are part of an annual event organised by the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports (MCYS) in collaboration with the District Offices under the Ministry of Home Affairs as well as BIBD. Typically held in the month of Ramadhan, the donations are hoped to lessen the financial burden of families preparing for the upcoming festive season.

Two students received monetary awards for achieving excellent results in their GCE O’Level examinations, while nine students received awards for their Brunei Religious Education Certificate (Peperiksaan Sijil Pelajaran Ugama Brunei SPUB) examinations.
Meanwhile, three students were awarded for their achievements in the Primary School Assessment Examination (Peperiksaan Penilian Sekolah Rendah PSR). BIBD contributed a total of $7,600 towards the incentives, which were handed over by BIBD’s Managing Director and CEO Junaidi Haji Masri.
